    Ages 16+. Prerequisite: Recent experience with wheel throwing and creating basic forms is required to take this class or instructor approval. This course is an excellent opportunity to improve your throwing skills. During this class time, you will work with the instructor to develop your skills into the next level of competency. You will have an opportunity to incorporate new methods into your pieces to make them unique. During this class you will gain the skills to throw larger pieces and improve your form. Students are encouraged to bring their own pottery goals so the instructor can assist each student with completion of personal goals. Fee includes up to 25 lbs. of clay, glazes and firing.

    Ages 16+ Beginner. Begin your journey learning to throw pottery. This 6-week class is for those with no knowledge of throwing on a wheel or with little experience of throwing and need more practice. The instructor will demonstrate during each class and assist learners with improving their skills. Start by throwing simple forms of cylinders and bowls, then to trimming vessels. Glazing will be demonstrated after the greenware is low fired in the kiln. Each glazed piece will then be high fired to finish the process. Fee includes up to 25 lbs. of clay, glazes and firing.

Jaymee will provide individual instruction based on your creative goals. Feel free to bring your own reference imagery and ideas, or peruse Jaymee’s collection of art samples for inspiration! Some previous painting experience is beneficial, but not always necessary. Absolute beginners should be prepared to work on painting exercises before moving on to individual work. Since instruction is individual, there will be plenty of independent work time as Jaymee spends time with each student.

    Add to your collection, or start a new collection of beautiful fused glass trees or ornaments! In this class, you will start with a tree-shaped or round piece of blank glass, then go to town decorating with glass frit, stringers, and pre-fired shapes. All components are provided and Included in the cost of the class. Each student will be able to make three trees, ornaments, or a combination thereof. For the trees, bases will be provided. The ornaments will have holes drilled for hanging.

    All fused glass artwork will be ready for pickup at Womanspace 7-10 days after class.

    Please wear closed-toe shoes; safety glasses and gloves provided. Class is open to age 8 and up or with adult supervision.

    Join us for this one-day workshop and immerse yourself in creating a watercolor holiday card from start to finish! Spend a fun-filled day in the studio surrounded by a festive atmosphere and holiday treats. We’ll begin by selecting your design, transferring it to watercolor paper, and then move on to painting your piece. There will be a mid-day break, and in the afternoon, we’ll complete our cards. If you’d like, we can scan your finished image and save it to a flash drive (please bring your own). This will allow you to have your artwork printed as a personalized holiday greeting card. Basic watercolor skills are helpful, but we’ll guide you through the project regardless of experience level. This class is perfect to share with friends—a relaxing and creative way to celebrate the holiday season.

    Come ready to enjoy a festive atmosphere with a few surprises in store!

    What? A memo board made of glass? Why not? In this class, you will decorate a blank piece of white glass (leaving room for your memos and notes), which will then be double-fired in a kiln - first to affix your fabulous decorations, and second to “slump” the glass in a v-shape so it will stand on its own. You will then have a fabulous, one-of-a-kind, dry-erase memo board for your kitchen or office, or wherever you need to remind yourself of how fantastic you are! All components included.

Each nightlight will start out as a blank piece of 4”x4” glass, and students will decorate with an assortment of glass frit (crushed glass), stringers (glass “noodles”), and pre-cut and pre-fired shapes. Each piece will then be fired in a kiln, mounted on a nightlight base, and ready for pickup in a week to ten days.

    Please wear closed-toe shoes; safety glasses and gloves provided. Class is open to ages 8 and up or with adult supervision.

    Ages 16+ Beginner. Begin your journey learning to throw pottery. This 6-week class is for those with no knowledge of throwing on a wheel or with little experience of throwing and need more practice. The instructor will demonstrate during each class and assist learners with improving their skills. Start by throwing simple forms of cylinders and bowls, then to trimming vessels. Glazing will be demonstrated after the greenware is low fired in the kiln. Each glazed piece will then be high fired to finish the process. Fee includes up to 25 lbs. of clay, glazes and firing.

    Ages 16+. All levels. Want to keep moving forward with your painting skills? Check out this guided open studio class for watercolor and acrylic painters! Jaymee will provide individual instruction based on your creative goals. Feel free to bring your own reference imagery and ideas, or peruse Jaymee’s collection of art samples for inspiration! Some previous painting experience is beneficial, but not always necessary. Absolute beginners should be prepared to work on painting exercises before moving on to individual work. Since instruction is individual, there will be plenty of independent work time as Jaymee spends time with each student.

    Cost includes a $20 supply fee. This covers paper, brushes, canvases and professional grade paints, but feel free to bring your favorites! Register EARLY! This class fills fast!

    This class is designed for you to dive into and improve your photography skills on your smartphone. We will discuss lighting and gain perspective in how to improve our photography, and explore new camera settings. In this class, we’ll focus on capturing the special lighting at sunset. We will be exploring light trails, stars, and other dark night photography.
