The celebration concluded with the dedication in August, 2021, of the Rockford Women's Suffrage Pavilion at 200 Y Blvd., Rockford. Womanspace served as artistic coordinator for this community-wide project, working cooperatively with members of 12 other women's and civic groups as the Women's Suffrage Centennial Steering Committee. |

10,000 FACE MASKS INITIATIVE From the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis in early 2020 when there was a very limited supply of face masks, Womanspace coordinated over 200 wonderful volunteers & donors to gather supplies and sew many masks. We then distributed these masks (13,355 masks in all) throughout the community, especially to essential workers and high risk facilities. We are so proud of the incredible feat that we accomplished as a team. We will never know how many lives might have been saved as a result of this effort but it is safe to say it was worth all of our time and effort. Thanks again to Annie Mohaupt and Justin Walker of Mohop, to our sponsors, Rockford Rotary and Rotary District 6420, Peak Medical Home Care, Mila Carlson & Associates, Massage Envy - Rockford and the Northern Illinois Care Coalition, and to our many volunteers. |

Womanspace has partnered with RAASE to help further their mission of ending the demand for sexually exploited individuals through preventive measures, victim protection, accountability of violators, and community engagement.
