  Ages 16+. All levels. Want to keep moving forward with your painting skills? Check out this guided open studio class for watercolor and acrylic painters! Jaymee will provide individual instruction based on your creative goals. Feel free to bring your own reference imagery and ideas, or peruse Jaymee’s collection of art samples for inspiration! Some previous painting experience is beneficial, but not always necessary. Absolute beginners should be prepared to work on painting exercises before moving on to individual work. Since instruction is individual, there will be plenty of independent work time as Jaymee spends time with each student.

  Cost includes a $20 supply fee. This covers paper, brushes, canvases and professional grade paints, but feel free to bring your favorites! Register EARLY! This class fills fast!

  Paid enrollment in a Womanspace class must be cancelled in order for the student to be eligible for a refund. A refund (minus a $10 non-refundable deposit, minus the 4% service fee) will be granted according to the following:

  • If you cancel up to 7 calendar days prior to a program or event, your payment, less the non-refundable deposit and service fee, will be refunded.
  • If you cancel 4 days in advance, you may have your payment, less the non-refundable deposit, transferred to another program.
  • In the last 3 days, there are no refunds.
  • Womanspace reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment by the registration deadline, in which case, full refunds will be made.

  Explore the art of representation in this beginner class that invites you to look at our inner and outer self through self portraiture expression. We will cover the fundamentals of drawing anatomically correct faces, and from there experiment capturing identity beyond physical likeness through mood, symbolism, and storytelling. Media used in this class will include pencil, colored pencil and pen. Please bring a folder or portfolio to contain and transport your work.
