Facilitator:  Lincoln Bias

Join this fun class to learn the art of Thai fruit and vegetable carving, or “kae sa luk,” from one of Rockford’s very own artists, Lincoln Bias! Kae sa luk is a 700 year old art form practiced by chefs all over the world, and an ancient cultural treasure of Thailand. In this 3 hour workshop, students will learn basic cutting techniques, creating designs in carrots and cucumbers, before moving on to their first large sized carving challenge: a giant watermelon flower! At the end of the workshop, students can take their masterpieces home for all to see!
