Over the centuries prayer shawls have come to symbolize shelter, peace, and spiritual substance. The message is of caring that enriches both the lives of the giver as well as the recipient. This class focuses upon a knit stitch that develops into a functional accessory. We will see choices for colors and types of yarns and needles, and ways to enhance our finished project. This simple shawl begins from one stitch in an easy to follow pattern of increasing. Embellishments can include a fringed border, or crocheted edge with/without ribbon insertion.
