Facilitator:  Christopher Sims

Following Covid19 restrictions social distancing and face masks are required.

This event is combining social justice and the opportunity to vote this election season. Social justice activism has been used to create an environment where we are either moved to act on important issues or encouraged to use our voices to vote for equity and balance in this country. Local activists and politicians will share from their perspective what they are doing to change Rockford for the better and what could happen when the right people are in office.  Presenters include:  Social Justice Poet Christopher Sims, Shiraz Tata, Linda Zuba, Paul Carpenter, and Melissa Stella Ress-Champion representing Women's March Rockford.

A Rockford based singing group called Do the Dream will also sing the new song Come Unity. The new song is written and imagined for the people of Rockford through the art/ spirituality movement of Jim Roberts with the music of David Stocker. Please come and participate.

Ensemble: George Davis, Michelle Monona, Blazey Onyango (percussion), Dorothy Page Turner, SallyAnn Roberts, David Stocker (guitar), and Linda Zuba.
