Have you ever wanted to learn how to make wheel thrown pottery? Then this class is for you! Starting from the beginning, you will learn how to wedge, center, pull and shape the clay on a potters wheel. You will get the opportunity to practice both bowl shapes as well as vase shapes and learn how to add handles or other decorative aspects to your work. You will complete the process of thrown pottery by trimming your pieces to get them ready to fire. Once out of the kiln you will glaze and finish off your artwork. Fee includes up to 25 lbs. of clay, glazes and firing. Each student must bring an apron, hand towel and their own pottery tool kit (available at craft stores or online).
