Committees
Development Third Monday of the month, 3:30–5:00 pm.
Establishes structures and processes to ensure the continued financial stability of Womanspace.
Grounds First Monday of the month, 3:30–4:30 pm.
Oversees upkeep of the gardens and grounds of our beautiful 7-acre campus. Performs hands-on work and care of The Lilly Garden, Celebration Garden, Peace Garden, etc. Organizes several workdays throughout the year. Prairie and Labyrinth subcommittees determine their own meeting times.
Gallery Second Wednesday of the month, 5:00–6:00 pm.
Identifies and invites artists: jury, install, host and manage details for all exhibits in the William Reif Gallery and Gallery2Go.
Marketing Third Wednesday of the month, 5:30–6:30 pm.
Advises and assists the staff with promotion of Womanspace and its events.
Membership Second Tuesday of the month,
5:00–6:15 pm.
Sponsors and host New Member events. Contact new and renewing members to encourage participation and help plan, host and evaluate special membership events. Handles registration and greeting at the Spring Benefit Luncheon and other events as requested.
Program Third Monday of the month, 10:00–11:30 am.
Suggests and researches presenters for Womanspace. Assists Program Coordinator in communicating with presenters. Oversees programming. Hosts workshops or seminars as needed.
Board Appointed Committees
Executive Meets first Tuesday of the month, 8:00–9:30 am.
Nominating As necessary.
Finance Meets Thursday following the first Monday of the month, 12:00–1:15 pm. Oversees all financial policies of the Center. Prepares annual budget in cooperation with Executive Director. Monitors financial statements. Reviews audit.
Human Resources Meets as needed, 11:30 a.m.–1:00 pm.
Special Event Committees
Glitzy Garage Sale–June 1, 2, 3, 2012 Meeting times are decided by committee. Coordinate all aspects of this recycling fundraiser – the Center’s oldest event and great fun for all.
OutReach for the Arts–October 19, 2012 Meeting times are decided by committee. Coordinates all aspects of this unique arts-related fundraiser.
Spring Luncheon–April, 2013 Meeting times are decided by committee. Coordinate all aspects of this social fundraiser which features a silent auction, raffle, a mystery-prize area, and the presentation of the Womanspirit Founders Award.
