Help Make Face Masks!
Womanspace is helping In Home Medical Group & Boots Upholstery & in their effort to make masks.
For those who work outside of a hospital setting, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is extremely scarce, and we expect it will remain so for the next 3–4 weeks. We understand that commercially manufactured PPE is best, and if at any time we are able to get those supplies, they will be donated to the nursing homes and assisted living facilities that need them the most. However, until then, we are doing all we can to decrease risk even if it is not perfect. Our mask design includes a pocket for N95 filters should they become available.

to easily share updated information in regards to this effort.
If you cannot sew, but want to help, we are also looking for people who can cut fabric based on our pattern.
If you want to donate materials (cotton is best) or finished masks:
Boots Upholstery has a safe, socially distanced "drive-up, drop-off" area at 4950 Nimtz Rd, Loves Park, IL. Please only drop off materials from 12- 5pm, Monday- Friday.

If you know how to sew, but do not have materials:
Pick-up free kits from Boots at 4950 Nimtz Rd, Loves Park, IL between 12- 5pm, Monday- Friday The materials are pre-cut and they have everything you need to make a mask. If they are out of kits, they will give you fabric to cut. They have a safe, socially distanced drive- up window. You must register on this site and bring your ID in order to pick up materials.
