Wassily Kandinsky 1866-1940 Russian Expressionism, Non-Objective Abstraction

Wassily Kandinsky was a painter and graphic artist of vision and sound. The idea of music is pervasive in his art. He even gave musical titles to many of his works such as “Composition,” Improvisation,” and “Impression.” His incorporation of synaesthesia and his works will be presented in this lecture.
