Learn more about the simplicity of Chinese brush painting. We’ll focus on controlling water and mixing colors, balance and composition. Learn new techniques and allow the brush to do all of the work. The subject matter will be season specific, but will include bamboo, flowers and landscape. During each lesson we will create a painting and scale it down to make a matching bookmark. Supply List: Rice paper (roll or pad), Traditional or Authentic Chinese watercolors, Brushes: 1 small, med, large, brush holder, Ink stick or traditional Chinese Ink (liquid), Ink Stone, porcelain palette or 8 jar lids. You can purchase most things at area craft stores.
