10:00 am–12:00 pm
Facilitator: Sue Abare
This class is for those first timers wanting to experience watercolor or someone who wants to expand beginning skills. Have fun exploring the enchantment of water and paint in their irresistible dance. As with all painting, a little drawing experience is helpful. Feel free to bring supplies you may already have or wait for suggestions on what you may want to purchase. Some basic supplies are furnished. We will discuss preparing paper to paint, brushes and their technique, some color theory — but mostly we will jump in the water, and do it!

Intermediate & Advanced Level. In this five-week class, we will continue to practice our skill building toward simplicity, spontaneity and success. We will discuss value, wetness, color and composition. Do you know what NOT to paint? Ideas abound and lots of thinking goes on as students and instructor continue learning. Students bring their own supplies.

Intermediate to Advanced students will enjoy instruction tailored to personal interests. These two hour classes are limited in size and designed to suit student goals and ensure progress. Students select art media with which they are most comfortable to pursue individual directions. If you've already taken a variety of classes in drawing and painting but seek more, or if you've tabled your passion as life intervened, we've got a home for you here. This class assumes a comfort level with drawing and/or painting and is not for beginners.

Come and have fun, get messy with this free flowing medium! Tres will guide you through the steps using different techniques to achieve some amazing pour painting results. Each session offers a new interesting outcome! Paints are included, but if you would like to bring your own colors you will need 4 small bottles of craft paint. Wear an old shirt or smock, this is a messy process!
