Facilitator: Julie Thompson
Heart beats, footsteps, turn signals, dripping faucets, babies sleeping, all have a rhythm of their own. Drums and drumming have been apart of the human expression from the beginning of time. Womanspace gathers a group monthly to express our joy of rhythm with whatever instrument we have, or would like to borrow. If you have a djembe, dunan, frame drum, or any other percussive instrument please bring them. We encourage all ages, to come to enjoy the camaraderie of making music together. We will explore traditional drumming rhythms, the rhythms of sayings, Nursery rhymes, and connect with each other and to the earth. We will also express some emotions through drumming. Anger, love , fellowship and contentment can also be expressed as we settle into the rhythm of drumming out our human nature. No talent, drum, or previous experience required.
Advance registration appreciated. Walk-ins welcome.
