Presentations and follow-up discussions deal with: Composition, Value structure and contrast, originality in art/ working toward a more personal vision, seeking inspiration and generating ideas, as well as talking about art: reflecting, analyzing and participating in critiques.  During the class, students will be encouraged to consider their favorite artists/artworks and feel free to bring work they've produced previously for discussion. Students should bring a medium-sized sketchbook, a glue stick, #2, 2B, 4B, 6B pencils, a white vinyl eraser, and 3 magazines. Beginning to advanced skill levels.

Intermediate to Advanced students will enjoy instruction tailored to personal interests. These two hour classes are limited in size and designed to suit student goals and ensure progress. Students select art media with which they are most comfortable to pursue individual directions.  If you've already taken a variety of classes in drawing and painting but seek more, or if you've tabled your passion as life intervened, we've got a home for you here.

This class assumes a comfort level with drawing and/or painting and is not for beginners.
